Purpose of the association

« Include every sport, include through sport »

The Puplinge Sports et Loisirs association

The Puplinge, Sports & Loisirs association was created in May 2021 and brings together more than ten sports associations active in the municipality of Puplinge.

The association includes organisations active in football, table tennis, badminton, tchoukball, netball, roller skating, fencing and gymnastics, among others.

The central idea at the heart of the association is to bring sports clubs together, to open them up and break down barriers, so that, alongside their role as clubs dedicated to their members, they can contribute to the visibility of local sport and to the varied needs of the population in this area.

The association’s aims include organising open tournaments, accessible to everyone, and offering free sport sessions, especially for young people. It is also in this spirit that the association is working on an outward-facing sports animation programme, to help the people of Puplinge discover the diversity of sport.

Finally, the refreshment area is intended not only as a meeting place for those who take part in sporting activities and for those who wish to try a sport from time to time, but also as a space that associations and their committees can use. A private area has thus been created at the back of the refreshment area for committee meetings and association assemblies.

The Football Club de Puplinge, the Club de Tennis de Table de Puplinge, the cantonal Tchoukball association, the Netball association, Geneva Roller Skating and the Badminton association form its committee. It currently has around fifteen members, sports clubs and independent teachers.
